
Here are all the illustrated plates from the Tree of Life. They follow the arrangement found on the master cladogram in a clockwise sweep. The color differences are used to group different "superclades;" distinct lineages thought to share a common ancestry.
For example; mollusks, radiolorians, entoprocts, annelids, etc. are all marked with a single color that indicate their common grouping as Archeans, Bacteria, Lophotrochozoans, Ecdyzozoans, Plants, etc. Some groups of organisms, like the Mycetozoans, Red Algae and Gastrotrichs, have problematic affinities. Therefore, they are represented with unique colors of their own.
