This is my earliest work that I dare show in public. Around the years 1995-96, I was heavily into smashing open trashed computers and assembling sculptures out of whatever that came out. I made more than a hundred such 'microchip critters' before I thought of photographing them. I took their pictures with my father's monstrous Hasselblad camera, one by one. Most of them were terrible. The better ones went onto exhibitions among foreign-curriculum high schools in Turkey, and were featured in a local culture magazine called Biz. You can see them in this gallery.
